How booking works

When you book — on the website, in the webchat, or by text — you pick a weekday and a pickup window: daytime (9am–3pm) or evening (5pm–8pm), Monday to Friday. You're choosing a window, not an exact minute.

Bruce calls to confirm every booking — the details, the timing within your window, and anything special about the job. Nothing is locked in until you've spoken. Regular (weekly or fortnightly) pickups work the same way: the whole schedule is confirmed with you before it starts, and for multiple-day pickups your clean laundry comes back at the next pickup.

Pricing

The first 2 loads are $60 + GST combined — that's the minimum booking. Each additional load is $25 + GST. One load is up to 5kg of laundry. Pickup and delivery are free anywhere we service.

GST (10%) is always shown separately and clearly before you book. If lights and darks need washing separately, that may count as separate loads — we confirm at pickup.

New customers get $20 off their first pickup — just mention it when booking. Volume discounts apply automatically: 5% off the pre-GST subtotal over $100, 10% off over $200.

What we wash — and don't

We machine-wash: towels, linens, sheets, robes, capes, uniforms and other machine-washable items, for businesses and households. Everything comes back washed, dried and folded.

We don't do dry cleaning, hand-wash-only or specialty items (leather, suede, fur, non-washable silk), or items soiled with bodily fluids or hazardous contamination. If you're not sure about an item, ask — Bruce confirms what we can handle.

We don't guarantee stain removal. If a stain looks unlikely to lift, Bruce flags it at pickup rather than over-promising.

Pickup and delivery

We collect from the address in your booking. For business pickups, most customers leave the laundry at an agreed safe spot, provide a key, or have a staff member meet us. For homes, being there is ideal, but an agreed safe spot works too — just note the arrangement in your booking.

We currently service the Brisbane area only.

Payment

No payment is taken to book. Bruce invoices you separately after the service. Prices on the site are in Australian dollars.

Cancellations and changes

Need to cancel or move a pickup? Let us know as early as you can — text 0468 097 087 or email bruce@thewashing.club. There's no lock-in contract and no cancellation fee for giving us reasonable notice.

Tell us straight away — text 0468 097 087 or email bruce@thewashing.club. Every load is logged at pickup and at delivery, and Bruce handles any issue with a missing or damaged item personally.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
