One load is up to 5kg. We confirm load count at pickup, so the price you see at booking is the price on the invoice.
One flat rate, whatever the size. There are no volume tiers to work out and no minimum-pickups-per-month deal — $66 covers the first two loads and every load after that is $27.50. If you have an unusually large or regular run, talk to us and we'll quote it properly.
How we compare to per-kg services
Per-load vs per-kg — what you actually pay
Most Brisbane commercial laundry pickup services charge per kilogram of laundry, plus a separate pickup fee, plus a fuel surcharge, plus a minimum charge. The advertised rate per kg looks small — until you add the rest.
Per-kg pricing also means you don't know the total until they've collected and weighed your laundry. Most services explicitly say their published prices are "a guide" until they touch your laundry. That uncertainty is the part nobody likes — especially small businesses trying to forecast operating cost.
We charge per load (up to 5kg per load) at a flat rate. You know the price when you book. The invoice matches the booking. There's no pickup fee, no fuel surcharge, and no per-item ironing add-on (we don't iron — we tell you upfront, not after).
Per-kg services (typical)
- Per-kilogram rate
- + Pickup fee
- + Fuel surcharge
- + Per-item ironing charges
- + Minimum order charge
- Total unknown until laundry weighed at depot
Example: a 2-load pickup typically lands around $69 inc; a 3-load pickup around $99 inc. Per-item ironing on top.
The Washing Club
- $66 inc GST flat for the first 2 loads
- $27.50 inc GST per additional load
- $0 pickup fee
- $0 fuel surcharge
- No per-item add-ons
- Same flat rate at any volume
- Total known at booking — matches the invoice
Same volumes: 2-load pickup = $66 inc GST. 3-load pickup = $93.50 inc GST. Every load after the first two is $27.50, so the total is easy to work out before you book.

Before you book anyone
5 questions worth asking any Brisbane laundry service
We'd ask them too. Use this checklist to sanity-check anyone you're considering — including us.
- 1. Is there a pickup fee or fuel surcharge? Many services advertise a low per-kg rate then charge $10–$15 for pickup and an additional fuel surcharge. Ask for the total, not just the rate.
- 2. Is the quoted price what I'll be invoiced?Per-kg services usually weigh at the depot and adjust. If the quote is "a guide", you don't know the final cost until after the work is done.
- 3. Is there a minimum order or minimum monthly spend? Some services require a minimum number of pickups per month or a $60+ minimum per pickup. Make sure the minimum suits your real volume — there's no point committing to weekly if your actual rhythm is fortnightly.
- 4. Is there a contract? Some services require a 6 or 12-month commitment. We don't — you book each pickup as you need it, scale up around event weeks, scale down for quiet ones, cancel any time without penalty.
- 5. Are there extra charges for ironing, delicate items or separation?Per-item ironing charges can quietly blow out a quote. We don't iron (we said so upfront), but if a service does, ask for the per-item rate. Same for "delicate" handling and dark/light separation — some services charge extra for both.
