Mobile laundry service in Brisbane: what it is and who it suits

What a mobile laundry service is

"Mobile laundry" just means the service comes to you. Someone collects your washing from your home or business, takes it away to be washed, dried and folded, and delivers it back.

You'll also see it called laundry pickup and delivery, or a wash and fold service. It's all the same idea: you never go to a laundromat, and you never touch a machine.

How it works in practice

• Book online or by text, and pick a weekday
• Choose a pickup window — daytime 9am to 3pm, or evening 5 to 8pm
• Leave the bag at your door, in the lobby, or wherever we agree
• It comes back clean, dry and folded

You don't have to be home. We text when we collect and when we deliver.

Who it suits

Busy families. Four or five loads a week is five to seven hours of someone's time. This hands those hours back.

Professionals in apartments. Small machine, no dryer, nowhere to hang sheets. One bag out, one bag back.

New parents. The washing doubles at exactly the moment your spare time disappears.

Anyone recovering from surgery or injury. Carrying wet washing is the last thing you need. A few weeks of pickups can cover the gap.

Shift workers. Evening pickup windows mean you're not waiting around during the day.

Who it doesn't suit

We'll be straight about this. If money is tight and you have the time, doing it yourself is cheaper. A laundromat costs less in dollars. Pickup laundry is for people who'd rather pay than spend the hours.

It's also not the right service if you mainly need ironing or dry cleaning. We do neither. We machine wash, dry and fold.

What it costs

• First 2 loads: $66 including GST (the minimum booking)
• Each extra load: $27.50
• One load is up to 5kg
• Pickup and delivery are free

New customers get their first 2 loads for $33 — the second load is free. Nothing to pay when you book: we invoice after pickup, and payment is due before delivery.

What to check with any mobile service

• Is there a delivery fee on top of the wash price?
• What's the minimum order?
• Who actually washes it — the business you booked with, or a contractor?
• What happens if something comes back wrong?

For us: no delivery fee, a 2-load minimum, a local Brisbane family business, and if it's not clean, dry and neatly folded, we rewash it free.
